The Site: Bush Road Waiatarua, Auckland.
The Project: Construction of a new dwelling and accessory buildings within a Significant Ecological Area including earthworks and removal of trees
Goal: To obtain consent and permission for tree removal
Outcome: Consent approved October 2021
The Value: Thomas Consultants Ltd provided expert planning, engineering and ecology input. The consent was complex due to the number of specialist involved, both within council and in preparing the application. Due to the sensitivity of the site, a number of supporting reports were required with the application. These included weed and pest control plans, lizard management plan and arborist report, along with a planning report, on- site wastewater reports and plans, on- site stormwater reports and plans and earthworks reports and plans.
